The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is recommending business owners switch to renewable energy sources to reduce their carbon footprint on the planet and protect the environment for future generations.

Northland Self-Storage is leading the way to a better world by recently installing Solar Panels at our Petoskey/Bay Harbor location. We’re the first in our area to embrace Solar in order to reduce our carbon footprint and use the Sun as a renewable source of energy.  By harnessing the power of the sun we’ve made a commitment to a more sustainable technology in creating our future energy needs.

“As the Owner of Northland Self-Storage I am very proud to make Solar energy part of our everyday Energy solution. Solar is a clean alternative that won’t pollute the air by releasing greenhouse gases. Come see our new Solar installation and take a look at the future…click here to see how we did it

Community & Giving Back

At Northland Self-Storage, we believe strong communities are built by neighbors who show up. Giving our time, hands-on help, and financial support to local nonprofits is one way we care for the place we call home. Each year, our team volunteers and donates to organizations that protect our environment, support families, and strengthen the people and animals of Northern Michigan.

Nonprofit Organizations We’ve Supported

Why We Do This

We’re a local business, but more importantly, we’re local people. Supporting nonprofits is one way we say “thank you” to the towns and families who support us — and a way we help keep Northern Michigan thriving for future generations.
